About the Foundation

Founded in 2008, the Southern Crescent Pearls Foundation, Inc. is an independent 501(c)(3) charitable organization committed to improving the quality of life throughout Clayton and Henry Counties and surrounding communities. Established by members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Psi Alpha Omega Chapter, the Foundation advances charitable, educational, and community initiatives that create lasting, measurable impact.

Guided by a steadfast commitment to service, leadership, and philanthropy, the Foundation serves as a catalyst for positive change by investing in programs, partnerships, and opportunities that strengthen individuals, families, and communities. The Foundation fulfills its charitable mission through:

          1. Education
            The Foundation invests in educational initiatives that expand opportunities for lifelong learning, academic                  achievement, leadership development, scholarship support, and student success.
          2. Community Outreach
             The Foundation collaborates with nonprofit organizations and community partners to address local needs                   through volunteerism, outreach initiatives, civic engagement, and humanitarian service
          3. Economic Empowerment
             The Foundation promotes financial stability and economic opportunity by supporting initiatives focused on                 financial literacy, entrepreneurship, workforce development, career readiness, and wealth-building.
        4. Health & Wellness
               The Foundation supports programs that improve physical, mental, and emotional well-being through health                 education, preventive care, wellness initiatives, and community awareness.
        5. Humanitarian Assistance
               The Foundation provides charitable resources and support that improve quality of life, respond to                                 community needs, and strengthen resilience through compassionate service and strategic partnerships.

As a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, all charitable contributions directly support the Foundation’s scholarships, grants, charitable programs, and community outreach initiatives.
