2022 Scholarships

2022 Scholarship Application Form is Now Open

The Southern Crescent Pearls Foundation, Incorporated (SCPF) offers scholarships to graduating female and male high school students who exemplify high scholastic and ethical standards.

    Applicants must meet the following criteria:
    Be a high school senior attending school or residing in Henry or Clayton County, Georgia
  • Be a U.S. citizen and have permanent residence in the United States.
  • Plan to enroll full-time, in undergraduate studies at an accredited two or four-year college, university or vocational school based in the United States (excluding proprietary and online schools).
  • Have at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent.
  • Be able to provide an official copy of their high school transcript (Once grades have been finalized).


  • Completed Application
    • Scholarship packets will be completed electronically online
  • Completed Essay Question(s)
    • The essay response submitted should be a minimum of 500 words with a max of 750. Essay should be typed in a Google Doc, Word or Note on your electronic device. Copy and paste your essay into the appropriate essay section in the online form. The essay should be created and submitted with the packet using Times New Roman or Calibri 12-point font.
    • Essay #3: This scholarship will be awarded to a student who will attend a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) only.
  • SAT or ACT Scores
    • Waived for 2022 application season
  • Letter of Recommendation
    • Submit two letters of recommendation (can be completed by an academic teacher, counselor, school administrator, church leader supervisor or community involvement representative.
  • Transcripts
    • An official transcript must be postmarked by June 3rd

Type an essay describing one community service project you have been involved in that changed your life in a meaningful way.
Type an essay describing a business you have created; or an entrepreneur aspiration you have and how this has shaped your goals for the future.
Type an essay describing why you believe Historically Black Colleges or Universities (HBCUs) are still a necessary option for higher education. Include why you choose to attend an HBCU. Note: Only submit Essay 3 if you plan to attend an HBCU.
Type an essay sharing why you should be considered for the Southern Crescent Pearls Foundation, Inc. scholarship. How does your life’s purpose connect to the mission of the Foundation that encourages high scholastic, moral and ethical standards?
